2012-07-22 - 12:32pm - Tera is no longer with us, after a sudden health issue which was not operable.
We will miss you so much Tera ... you were the perfect companion for an imperfect man.
We thank God for blessing us so much with your life, your love, and your loyalty.
Tera is short for Terabyte. Tera is a purebred plush coat German Shepherd. She was born on a farm in Ontario to a Police Dog breeder (with German lines) and all 3 of her brothers went to Policemen (one in California). When I went to see the litter of puppies, they were scampering all over. I would pick up whatever one came over to me, and I would check the tattoo number on their bellies. I pick up the first one to come over ... it was #15, then put her down, and picked up a different one, then #15, then another one, then #15, then another one, then #15 (who by this time I decided to put on my lap so that I could see the rest of them), and then sitting on my lap she fell asleep. So I picked #15 ... well, she picked me I guess.
She is now 10 years old, but still playful every day. Her favourite game is "laser" ... and every night we go for a long walk (with Mickey) and they chase the laser in the field. As soon as it gets dark she reminds me that it is time to go play! She is trained to walk on my right, and Mickey on my left. They heel perfectly and turn in tandem. People often pull over to ask questions when we are walking.
She is a great protector and as loyal as any dog could ever be.
