Maiden Flight of the Lancaster
This Avro Lancaster (FM213) was restored in Hamilton Ontario ... and is only one of 2 now flying in the world. My friend Ron and I flew out to this event in his Jetranger so that he could take the National Film Board of Canada up to record the maiden flight. I was able to go into the cockpit and see the dated but functional controls. All of the weapons on this aircraft have been disabled (now they get good parking spots). These photos were all scanned in from old negatives.
