Cleo was my companion for 17 years. She died on March 7, 2001. She was a wonderful dog ... obedient and intelligent. I rescued her from an abusive situation, and had some issues at the beginning because of it. Thankfully, I endured that season and was able to enjoy her company. I taught her to stand on her hind legs on command, so I used to get her to pose in photos like that. She heeled properly, and loved being outdoors. She had a heated dog house and a favourite spot on the lawn to survey her territory. She was loyal, faithful, and gentle.
