Here is a shot looking out from that marker towards the Mount of Olives. Straight ahead at the top of the mount is the peak of the Church of the Ascension - which is the traditional spot where Jesus was said to have ascended into heaven.
In between the two is the Eastern Gate.

Taken from on top of the Mount of Olives in front of the Church of Ascension. Note that directly in front - in an exactly straight line is the Eastern Gate, the Holy of Holies, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.<br />

All 4 of those points happen to be in a straight line.<br />
